Innovation through Knowledge: our Approach/Brevetti+ 2024

Innovation through Knowledge and Engineering lead to the development of patentable and sustainable solutions

Innovation through Knowledge: Our Approach to Patents and the Brevetti+ 2024 Program

In the world of technological innovation, bringing a creative idea is just the beginning. To turn it into reality, much more is needed: a solid knowledge base and a rigorous engineering approach, which allow us to fully understand the state of the art and identify the real opportunities for progress. It is this way of thinking that led Esse-Bi Engineering to develop its latest patent, supported by funding from the Lombardy Region, and to submit a funding application to the Brevetti+ 2024 program, which will allow us to explore new technological opportunities, validate the effectiveness of our idea in a real industrial context, and lead to the development of innovative, safer and more efficient actuators.

Knowledge-Based Innovation

One might be led to think that innovation simply comes from a brilliant and ingenious idea. However, true technological progress only occurs when this idea is inserted into a context of in-depth knowledge and targeted research. Our approach to innovation always starts from a detailed analysis of the state of the art: knowing what already exists on the market and in research is essential to understand what can be improved, which solutions have already been explored and perhaps discarded, and which ones can really make a difference.

As we have already said in our post R&D: innovation in Mechanical Design, it is not enough to have (good) ideas; if you do not know the starting point, it is not possible to clearly define the destination to reach. This principle guides all our research and development activities. Before proposing innovations, we make sure we have a full understanding of the limits and potential of existing technologies, using a structured engineering approach.

Our Path Towards Innovation: the Brevetti+ 2024 Call

Our new patent is the result of this process of “applied knowledge”. Thanks to the funding from the Lombardy Region for the European extension of our patent application and the application for access to the Brevetti+ 2024 program funds, we are dedicating significant efforts to the engineering of an original solution, so that, before being called innovative, it is contextualized with respect to the state of the art and demonstrates that it actually brings something new with respect to the known art.

This approach has allowed us to identify the areas in which it is really possible to make a difference, using different and more modern technologies, significantly improving the efficiency and sustainability of industrial processes. In our article Leveling System: Contribution from the Lombardy Region, we described the path that will lead us to obtaining the patent and the funding related to its European extension, highlighting the importance of such initiatives for business growth.

From Knowledge to Innovation

Only after having fully understood the existing technological landscape, is it possible to proceed with the actual innovation phase. The initial idea can be translated into a practical solution through collaboration with industry experts and the use of advanced engineering tools, overcoming the most complex challenges and carrying out projects that meet expectations.

This growth path, supported by the Brevetti+ 2024 program, will allow us to develop our solution, which not only represents a step forward in the industry, but also responds to current sustainability needs. Reducing environmental impact and optimizing energy resources are central objectives of our research, and we are proud to present solutions that improve both efficiency and respect for the environment.

We Also Support Other Companies in the Innovation Path

We understand the challenges that companies face in the research and development process, especially when it comes to starting from the idea to transform it into a valid and successful patent. For this reason, we are always ready to make our experience and skills available to support other companies that wish to undertake this path.

We offer engineering and design services to help companies develop their innovative ideas, following them through the technical process required to take advantage of the Brevetti+ 2024 Call and other funding opportunities. We are also available for useful advice on how to effectively address funding calls in general and how to enhance your innovative ideas. If you would like to know more or if you are interested in collaborating with us to develop your innovative ideas, we invite you to contact us.
